New Year Wishes

I found this cute digi image on my computer and knew I had to make a card out of it.

I think this may be the card I send out to all of those last minute Christmas Cards that I never got made.
There is always someone you receive a Christmas card from a day or two before Christmas that you forgot. Here is the solution. Send a New Years Card!!!

Truth be knowm. My Christmas Cards are usually snowmen. If I get them done before Christmas, I stamp Merry Christmas. If Not, I stamp Happy New Year. *Ü*

The Inspiration for this card started with a sketch challenge from Digi Sketch Challenge Blog.

Masculine Birthday

I purchased this SU stamp set some time ago mainly for the train. I Finally got around to making a card with it.  I find it difficult to make masculine cards due to lack of really nice masculine images.

I stamped the train and sentiment with Black Memento Ink, used clear detail embossing powder and heat embossed.

I used a Close to my Heart Paper Pack called Wanderful. The Happy Birthday is from an upcoming April Stamp of the Month and the yellow stars are actually white stars that I colored to match the Honey Cardstock, with color Y222 ShinHan Alcohol marker.

The round embellishment on the front of the circle was something I had lying around and thought it would look nice there. Why not.....one less thing lying around my craft room! *Ü*

The design of this card was inspired by a sketch from Technostampers Challenge Blog.

Craft Hoarders Anonymous - Have a nice trip
Marker Pop -  Anything with ShinHan or Copic Markers

Winter Birthday Wreath

I'm trying to wean myself away from Christmas cards. It's really hard for me since I really do love Christmas. While flipping through some files on my computer, I came across this picture. I have no clue where it came from but thought it would make a very nice Winter Birthday Card. I have two friends who have birthdays in January and thought it would be perfect.

Once I had the picture printed out, I scouted around for the perfect sketch to inspire me. And I found it at Repeat Impressions.

I used a wood grain Embossing Folder by Close to my Heart, for the background and pulled the blue from the picture to use for the background paper, which is Sky blue. A retired paper from CTMH. I couldn't get the look I wanted with the banner cut, so I punched both sides of the white CS and stamped Birthday Wishes on it and heat embossed it.

I added three red enamel hearts to the upper right corner.

I sometimes get overwhelmed with coloring. This stamp set is called Christmas Puppy from Sweet n' Sassy Stamps. I colored it with Copic Markers

The inspiration came from the sketch challenge from Mark's Finest Papers. It is a challenge with a twist. Winter theme. Well, I guess Christmas is Winter....right?

Christmas Candle and Rose - Fred She Said

Here's another Christmas card for you. This one uses a pre-colored Christmas Rose and Candle from Fred She Said.

I made another Easel Card. They are very addicting. Especially when you don't want to make your focal image smaller and still want to add a sentiment. However, taking a really good picture isn't that easy.

The rose is actually layered twice on top of the original.

The sentiment is from Stampin' Up, which was stamped and heat embossed.

Card Mania - Use a DigiP
Craft-Dee Bowz - Anything with a bow
Dream Valley - Anything

Christmas Cardinal - Fred She Said

My card today is a Christmas Card using the pre-colored images from Fred She Said called Christmas Cardinal. I added dots of Liquid Applique when the snow dotsw are on the image and then covered with Fine Prisma Glitter for just a little added sparkle.

When I was designing this card, I was going to put the sentiment below the image, but I didn't want the pretty dry embossed Holly to be covered. So I decided to make an Easel Card instead.

The sentiment is from an old retired stamp set from Close to my Heart and the Red Enamel Hearts and some new embellishments for CTMH also.

This card worked perfectly for using up some of my scraps of cardstock and ribbon.

Bearly Mine - Christmas

Crafters Companion - Christmas
Crafty Hazelnut - Christmas

FSS Cornflowers

My card today uses another of the new images just released at Fred She Said. This is the Cornflower and comes pre-colored or a digi to color yourself.

My inspiration started with a sketch from Sketch File.

I have a wedding to go to next month and I have a stamp set called Life time of Happiness from CTMH, that I thought would be perfect for a wedding card. I think it goes well with the FSS Cornflowers.

The cornflowers were fussy cut and layered on top of the original flowers for added dimension.

I added some Hand Stitching around the card using a matching color embroidery floss, keeping the color subtle as to not take away from this beautiful image.

FSS Scribbled Roses

Fred She Said is having an End of Summer Sale and my card uses one of the newest images, Scribbled Roses released this week. These beautiful pre-colored flowers come in 11 different colors. This image also comes as a line image to color yourself. These come as individual flowers, but I used the PNG version to group three different colors together.

I used the sketch challenge from Mojo Monday for my starting inspiration.

I added some hand stitching around the edges for some added dimension.

Emma and the Cake

Well, it's just a little over three weeks until Spring begins. I can't wait. Here in Pennsylvania, we've been bombarded with so much snow this month and they're calling for a little more tomorrow night. Every winter I go through a depression but this year is worse then ever. My passion is card making and it's even been a struggle to do this lately. However, my beautiful Granddaughter Mya celebrated her 7th birthday Saturday, so I made her a very special card. It actually did feel good to create again.

My card today was created with a pre-colored imaged from Fred She Said called "Emma and the Cake"
Mya's favorite color right now is Pink. So I started out with the Pink Emma and matched it up with The Lollydoodle Paper pack from Close to my Heart.

The Happy Birthday is from the Holiday Tags stamp set from CTMH. This is my "Go To" stamp set most of the time. Great sentiments and matching tags.

The pink Hearts and small flowers were punched form the Pink Glitter Papers. The Green banner was cut from the Green Glitter Papers. The hearts and banner were hung from the Pink bakers twine form the Paradise assortment.
Pink Glitter Gems were added to the center of the flowers.

Challenges for this card:
Seize the Birthday - Use hearts on Birthday card.
Catered Crop - Birthday
One Stitch at a Time - Girly
Quirky Crafts - Pile it on & 3D
Ink on My Fingers - Have a Heart

Nolan & the Bull Frog

Here is a Valentine I made for my Grandson Jeffrey. Very Non Traditional Valentine colors. I just love this image from Fred She Said called "Nolan and the Bull Frog"

I used the same sketch from the Deconstructed Sketch Blog, for this card and my last post.

The design of this sketch was just perfect for the images plus, I have many rolls of glitter tape in many different colors so I wanted to finally use them.

The paper is from the Ivy Lane paper pack from Close to my Heart along with Crystal Blue Cardstock

I Love you THIS much!

Here is a Valentine that I made for my Granddaughter Mya for Valentines Day.

The inspiration for this card started with the pre-colored imaged from Fred She Said called "I Love You THIS Much!" This fabulous image comes in Six different colors or a Digi that you can color yourself.

I then matched it up with a great Sketch Challenge from the Deconstructed Sketch Challenge Blog.

I Love Mom - Valentine

Here's a Valentine that I thought I might make for my 4 year old grandson to give his Mommy for Valentines Day. I used the Fred She Said pre-colored image called Nolan with a Sign. There are five different signs plus a blank one that goes with this digi set.

I had a new paper pack from Close to my Heart called Skylark. I just thought this coerner of the paper would go perfect with this image.

I have just started getting back into Hand Stitching on my cards and so I dod so on this one. I also used a brand new Spellbinder's die.

Better Than Chocolate

I have another Valentine card for you here today using pre-colored images form Fred She Said.

The roses on the sides are from the Hearts and Roses set. This set comes in Seven Pre-Colored choices.

The focal image is from the Better Than Chocolate and comes in three colored versions.

The papers, ribbon and flourishes is all from Close to my Heart.

The hand stitching is another pattern from the Close to my Heart Stitch Guide. This guide is loaded with lots of stitching options. The card previous to this post was stitched using the guide also.

I Love You This Much

Here is a Valentine card I made using a Fred She Said image called "I Love You This Much"

In the past my cards all had hand stitching on them. It's been a long time since I stitched on one. I used to make up my own stitch designs, but this one came from a Close to My Heart Ruler called the Stitch Guide. It's quite easy to use. Just put a foam mat down with the paper on top and the stitch guide on top of that. Then just pierce through the holes using a piercing tool, and then stitch.

The embellishments in the top corners are called Flamingo Dots and the Heart by the sentiment were punched out of the Pink Collection of glitter papers. There are three sheets. One each of a light pink, medium pink and the one I used is the darkest pink. Both of these items will be available through Close to My Heart starting on February 1st here on my website.

FSS Kiss Me Scottie - Thank You Card

Here is the last post on the Thank You cards I made for my granddaughter Mya to give her 1st grade teacher for Christmas.
The paper is from the Frosted Papers from Close to my Heart. Burlap ribbon and the sentiment is also from CTMH.
The adorable Kiss Me Scottie pre-colored image is from Fred She Said.

Red Caroling Angel

My card today started out being a Thank You card but I needed another Christmas Card. I used the Red pre-colored Caroling Angel from Fred She Said. I thought it looked a little boring so I then printed out the image from the Poinsettias and Holly, cut it out and mounted in the upper right corner.

The papers are from the Close to my Heart Sparkle and shine papers.
